Position: United Roofing (Edmonton) Inc. is looking for a career driven, detail orientated Junior Estimator to join our Edmonton team. United Roofing Edmonton is a well known and reputable building envelope contractor in the province which offers building envelope services such as flat roofing, cladding, waterproofing, and coatings. Position is full time within the city of Edmonton and will be a supporting role to existing estimators. Key responsibilities: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other tender documents to determine scope of work required. Submit RFIs as required and ensure all necessary information to complete estimate is available. Complete take offs for a variety of building envelope scopes. Complete estimates for projects under supervision of estimating team within tight time frames. Request and obtain subcontractor and supplier quotes as required. Communicate and assist estimators with day-to-day tasks as required. Attend relevant meetings as required. Assist Project Coordinators or Project Managers as needed. Maintain records of vendor quotes & information. Attain and complete documents as required, including WCB letter and insurance documents, permits. Required: Completion of a Construction Technology or Architectural Technology program. What we are looking for: Extremely detail orientated. Strong problem solving skills and ability to adapt to quick changes. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional time management skills. Ability to multitask is a must. Work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Planswift experience a bonus but not required. Excellent mathematic skills. Knowledge of basic building envelope practices.
