Were looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Retail Store Manager to launch and lead the re-launch of Westbeach. Youll own everything related to the retail side of the business, from day-to-day operations to building a team, creating an incredible customer experience, and developing systems and a culture that can grow with us.The right person has strong retail experience and thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Theyre a natural leader, and someone people love being around. Theyre confident making tough calls, detail-oriented, and know how to bring structure without slowing things down. Youll be on the ground floor of building not just a store but a space that reflects the original Westbeach spirit.Its a big role with a lot of responsibility. It will take weekends and being around when others might not be. The first couple of years will be especially hands-on. But if that sounds exciting, youll get to help shape the next era of an iconic Canadian brand and play a key role in how it shows up in the world.Ability to skate a mini ramp a bonus but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Building & ManagementHire, train, and manage the retail team with a focus on performance, brand knowledge, and community engagement.Build a strong in-store culture that aligns with our values.Create scheduling systems, set performance targets, and oversee daily store operations.Develop a strong internal bench of future leaders, ensuring continuity as the team grows.Retail Operations & SalesOwn and manage day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and merchandising.Collect customer feedback and share regularly with the broader team (product, marketing, design).Develop and own annual retail goals and strategies to grow store revenue and customer retention.Become a known and trusted presence in the community, building long-term relationships with local partners and customers.What Were Looking For5+ years of experience in premium/lifestyle retail management.Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.Operationally excellent and highly organized.Experience with store merchandising and P&L responsibility.Strong communication skills with the ability to report clearly to leadership and collaborate cross-functionally.Deep understanding of the skate/surf/snow customer and West Coast culture.Passion for building something from scratch and leaving your mark.Why Join Us?Be Part of a Brand Relaunch Help define what we look like in its next chapter.Creative Freedom Bring bold ideas to the table and execute on them.Collaborative Culture Work closely with a small but passionate team where your ideas matter.Growth Opportunities As we scale, so will your role and career path
