Our business is built on a unique model of efficiency, customer-first retail, making UNIQLO one of the most exciting global brands to work for.Key Responsibilities :Act as the main HR advisor for store managers, assistant store managers, and area managers in your assigned regionProvide expert guidance on employee relations issues, from coaching to conflict resolutionConduct workplace investigations and ensure compliance with employment lawEnforce progressive discipline, lead disciplinary meetings, and manage termination processes with professionalismEnsure employee records are complete and accurate in accordance with company policies and proceduresPartner with recruiters to coordinate hiring for mid-level management roles in storesSupport the recruitment and onboarding processes for new store associates by supporting interview processes, conducting new hire orientation, ensuring employees are enrolled in our HRIS / store systems, and follow-up with Payroll, Store Managers, and HR members to ensure employee onboarding is completedAssist in the ongoing review, development, and implementation of company policies, programs, and initiatives including delivering training programsMonitor workforce trends, assess store needs, and implement HR strategies that improve engagement and retentionSupport regional organization planning and staff development including creating and monitoring the progress of a development plan with area managers and HR ManagerServe as the HRBP backup for Qubec when needed, ensuring smooth operations across regionsStay ahead of labor laws and HR best practices, ensuring UNIQLO remains compliant and competitiveEnsure company operates in accordance with all applicable legislation including Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, etc.Sit as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee and oversee meetings of the stores JHSC'sProvide a weekly HR report summarizing key activities and observationsTravel 3 days per week in Toronto GTA locations (if based in Toronto region) or in Ottawa + stores in Quebec (if based in Ottawa region)Additional duties as requiredDesired Skills and Experience :University degree / Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related fieldHR Professional Designation is a strong asset3+ years of experience advising managers and leaders on employee relationsExperience with disciplinary actions, terminations, and workplace investigations is requiredStrong understanding of employment law and HR compliance in CanadaPrior experience in retail HR is a strong assetAbility to travel 3 days per week to visit stores and provide on-site HR supportFluent in French and English (spoken and written)Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with global teams and people at all levels of the organizationPermanent work authorization in Canada (eligible to work for any employer)Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools and HRIS systemsAbility to operate with high level of integrity and confidentialityAbility to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks with minimal supervisionJoin our team : If youre looking for a role where you can make an immediate impact, lead HR initiatives, and be a driving force in UNIQLO s retail success, we want to hear from you!
