Permanent, Full-timeWhitehorse, YTWe have an immediate, full-time permanent position for a Water Resources Scientist with 3 to 5 years of experience, including field experience. As a Water Resources Scientist, you will join our interdisciplinary team of water resources scientists and environmental professionals. Through relationships built among team members and widespread employee ownership, we realize that EDI is not just a company, it is our company.The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible ForConducting fieldwork associated with surface water quality and hydrology, and groundwater data collectionReviewing and managing dataAnalyzing data including, but not limited to, time series and trend analysesReporting, including data presentation and interpretationWe Are Looking For Someone WithStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities and the ability to make timely decisionsDemonstrated experience in fieldwork in Water Resources, which may include any of hydrology, surface water quality, hydrogeology, and meteorologyProven record of crew lead experience related to water resources or environmental scienceExperience with surface water and/or groundwater quality monitoring and samplingThe ability to manage field documentation, analyze data and reporting experienceStrong organizational, interpersonal skills and exceptional time management skillsWillingness to foster a professional, productive, and growth-minded work environmentThe capacity to simultaneously organize and manage tight timelines and multiple prioritiesThe ability to travel for fieldwork in remote locations and/or between our officesJob Requirements IncludeA passion for your career, and willingness to be part of a dynamic teamBachelors degree in environmental science, geography, water engineering or related discipline(s).
