Above all else, we believe in doing the right thing for our people, our communities and our planet.Reporting to the Senior Director, Real Estate & Portfolio Management, the Manager, Real Estate is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, presenting, and completing real estate transactions for the brands within his/her geographic territory.What you will do in this role:Achieve the successful and timely selection, negotiation, approvals and lease documentation of locations in order to meet the construction and opening dates according to each brands development planDevelop and manage Recipes broker and landlord relationships, as well as initiating and responding to own leadsProvide high level communication in a proactive manner with Brand leaders, Franchising, Design + Construction and Legal Departments to ensure coordination, delivery and efficient management of all transactionsConduct tours of sites and markets for Brand leaders, prepared with local market intel, demographic information, market lease rates, competitive sales, market history, and future development plansMaintain the accuracy of the real estate department database to ensure accurate reportingManage the preparation of site approval packages to Real Estate Committee(s) for approvalNegotiate the terms of all leasing documents to meet Recipes standards and in accordance with required timelinesNegotiate the site plan or building requirements, and the Landlord and Tenants Work Schedule, and provide guidance on the construction requirements for each location, both internally, as well as with external architects and landlordsInterface with Market Planning to develop and execute the real estate strategy for each brandInterface with the Franchising team to ensure appropriate and accurate communication of real estate opportunities to prospective franchiseesInterface with the Construction Department to ensure on-time and on-budget store openings are achievedWhat we are looking for from you:College/University Degree5-10 years of prior experience in retail or restaurant leasing, development, or portfolio managementAbility to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervisionAdvanced negotiation skillsSuperior interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhats in it for you?Flexible/Hybrid work environmentYoud be joining a close-knit, innovative team of creative and energetic go-gettersYoud be a part of Canadas largest full-service restaurant company that leads the industry in size and innovation20% associate discount dining card and monthly dining allowance valid at participating Recipe brandsA welcoming, fun and safe work environment founded on respectCareer advancement opportunities with a company that owns some of Canadas most iconic restaurant brandsIndustry-leading benefits, wellness programs, and total rewards programsRecipe is committed to providing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
