Join a forward-thinking company that truly invests and cares about its people, that embraces a culture that values your time and personal life.KEY RESPONSBILILTIESPayroll Processing & Compliance:Process and manage payroll weekly for multiple clients on weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly schedules.Compile, review, and monitor reports, statements, and summaries related to payroll accounts.Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing relationships and addressing payroll related issues.Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations, staying updated on changes in legislation and adjust payroll processes and policies as necessary.Collaborate with other payroll technicians and bookkeeping teams.Assist bookkeeping teams as needed and as time allows.Report to the Team Lead, ensuring effective communication on team performance and workflow management.Client Management & Reporting:Act as an account manager, building effective working relationships with assigned clients, delivering high-quality professional advice and insight.Prepare and execute client-specific payroll reports, auditing information for completeness and take appropriate action where needed.Provide a customer-centric approach within the team, setting high standards for delivering exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and service quality.Handle sensitive and confidential information and lead communication with external payroll service providers to ensure top-tier service for assigned clients.System Expertise & Process Improvement:Payroll software knowledge of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Payworks, Wagepoint, Dayforce, ADP, etc.Evaluate payroll processes and systems, implementing improvements that would enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.QUALIFICATIONSExperience: 3-5 years of payroll processing and administration preferred, but not required. Willing to train a strong candidate with relevant skills or education. Experience managing multiple client payrolls is an asset.Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Payworks, Wagepoint, Dayforce, and ADP. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel. Strong understanding of Canadian federal and provincial payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and handle sensitive information with discretion.Education & Certification: Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is an asset.
