The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, implementing, leading and administering AL-Pacs-wide Reliability Maintenance Program and the ongoing, systematic process of matching AL-Pacs critical systems with the most cost-effective maintenance strategy to maximize overall reliability.Who Are We?Al-Pac is the largest single-line kraft pulp producer in North America. We are continuously exploring new and innovative ideas, while delivering premium products with a commitment to strong environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility a commitment that is demonstrated by our long-standing Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification*.Role ResponsibilitiesData management: Inputting, updating, and maintaining asset information, maintenance routines, and procedures within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or SAP.Technical resource for Mechanical/Electrical related items, assist in troubleshooting within the system.Responsible for following up on all failures resulting in production losses, quality, workmanship or premature failures causing reliability issues. Reviews information related to repeat failures of parts or equipment, continuously improving maintenance program.Recommends and implements agreed to changes to process equipment and/or parts from the completion of root cause failure analysis. Mechanical/Electrical maintenance and repairs - creates preventive, risk-based and condition-based maintenance processes and tasks, creates detailed instructions in the system for technicians to follow.Reviewing substitutions for obsolete or discontinued parts that are required for the maintenance of organizations equipment. Role RequirementsPreferred Post-Secondary Diploma in trades or degree in a related subject.10+ years experience in mechanical related trade or manufacturing/forestry service maintenance.Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) an asset. SAP Proficiency is desirable.OtherAbility to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot. Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are also essential because document control specialists regularly communicate with internal and external business partners. Ability to work independently.
