Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with our client, a growing non-profit based on the south side of Winnipeg, on the search for a Communications Coordinator. This is an ideal opportunity for a savvy communicator who enjoys working with people and is adept at creating and publishing content to support organizational goals. Benefits and Perks:Comprehensive benefits and a robust pension planProfessional development opportunitiesFree parking and access to a transit routeA casual office environment with a culture of teamworkResponsibilities:Assisting the Executive Director with developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategyServing as content lead on all materials, including article development (copywriting and editing), press releases, media coverage (print, radio, TV, web, and podcasts), social media posts, email blasts, and printed materialsAssisting in the coordination of annual conferences, including promotion of the eventUpdating of the associations website and social media channelsTracking progress and developing reports as neededQualifications:A diploma in creative communicationsPrevious experience in creating and coordinating public-facing print and digital communications platforms and driving social mediaDemonstrated written and verbal communication skills with a high level of creativityHigh attention to detail with strong proofreading and editing skillsExperience with Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MailChimpPrevious experience in a non-profit setting is an assetPrevious experience or interest related to agriculture or environmental sustainability is also an asset Please note this is a full-time permanent in-office role. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am 4:30pm.
