As a key member of the maintenance team the Millwright reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and will ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Millwright will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.Critical Success Factors:Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and upgrading of processing, packaging, material handling and utility service equipment in a food processing environment this also includes wastewater treatment monitoring.Mechanical knowledge of power, transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.Carry out work orders and apply corrective action.Execute approved modifications and additions.Perform and document all maintenance activities.Read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings.Make recommendations and promote best practices.Strong focus on food safety and workplace safety.Support health and safety programs.Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate:A valid Manitoba Journeyman Certificate of Qualification as a Millwright Red Seal.A minimum of 2 years related maintenance experience in an industrial plant.Knowledge of plant and equipment operations.Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job.Good mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to work in a team based environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Good organizational and time management skills.Available for weekend overtime as production demands require.Additional experience or education and training an asset, i.e. welding, refrigeration, steam ticket, wastewater treatment.Basic Computer ability.Prior knowledge or working experience with (SAP) Mobile Maintenance or CMMS is an asset but not required.Experience with 5S is an asset.Other duties as assignedWhat we can offer:Starting wage: $43.72 per hourOvertime opportunitiesAdvancement opportunitiesBe part of a diverse and inclusive teamWhy Join Our Team?Lactalis Canada is part of Lactalis Groupe which is the worlds #1 dairy group.
