We are looking for a highly motivated, well-organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join the Calm Air family.The sky is the limit!What You'll Get to DoThe Quality and Safety Inspector conducts investigations into safety, compliance, or operational hazards reported in the companys hazard database. They identify Subject Matter Experts, gather data, interview, perform data and risk analysis, determine root causes, and collaborate with leads in the development of corrective action. The Quality and Safety Inspector records actions and details in the companys hazard database and facilitates the Risk Management Process. They perform Quality Assurance audits and additional quality control duties associated with the Risk Management process and Quality Assurance audits.Conducted investigations as assigned within assigned timelinesConduct interviews to gain information applicable to the investigationIdentify and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts on additional safety issues, risk assessment, and regulatory conformanceIdentify applicable regulationsGather data and evidence to support the investigative processAnalyze data to identify trendsConduct root cause analysisCollaborate with leaders to develop Corrective Action Plans to address the root cause.Collect information and evidence, and compile it into a final reportRecord actions and details in the companys hazard database related to risk management recordsFacilitate the risk management process with department heads and risk management leadsResponsible for the development and maintenance of the audit checklistsCompletion of assigned follow-up of corrective action plans driven from the Hazard report databaseCompletion of audit reports and summaries for review and distributionCompletion of regulatory or procedural audits as directedDevelop and distribute audit reports/findings arising from the performance of regulatory/procedural auditsObserve any regulatory or procedural shortcomings and advise the applicable department head of the observed shortcomings, or in instances where a regulatory non-compliance is observed, generate a finding against the non-compliance with the approval of the VP, Quality and SafetyComply with all regulatory and company standards, policies, and proceduresUse personal protective equipment as requiredActively identify and report hazards and potential hazardsOther duties as assigned Skills & Experience We Value Post-secondary education in a related field is an assetPrevious experience in a related role is requiredStrong written and oral communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, in addition to internal systemsClear understanding of Quality Assurance Audit processes and proceduresAbility to acquire all required security clearancesTravel requiredAbility to obtain and maintain all required security clearancesPrevious experience & knowledge of aircraft maintenance are an assetPreference given to Inuit Land Claims BeneficiariesInuktitut language is considered an assetThe Benefits of Joining Our TeamAlong with being one of Manitobas Top Employers, we are proud to provide a cooperative and enriching work environment.
