IMIG is the amalgamation of the Algoma Mutual Insurance Company founded in 1899, and the Dufferin Mutual Insurance Company founded in 1895. Algoma and Dufferin will maintain their long-standing brands operating as the Algoma and Dufferin divisions of IMIG.
