With the demand for low-carbon fuels on the rise, ComTech brings a unique value proposition, innovative solutions, and exceptional customer focus.We are on a relentless pursuit to lead the transition to renewable energy for a cleaner, more sustainable future.Our culture is everything.If youre a purpose driven, energetic self-starter with a solution-focused, positive mindset, we would like to learn more about you.We are looking for aDirector of Transportationto join our growing team.Roles & Responsibilities:Develop and implement transportation strategies aligned with company objectives and customer service expectations.Lead initiatives to optimize routes, reduce costs, improve delivery timelines, and enhance sustainability.Manage daily transportation operations, including third-party logistics providers.Work with EHS to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards for transportationSource and train 3PL partners and their drivers.Foster a safety-focused, performance-driven culture.Develop and manage transportation budgets, forecasts, and cost-control initiatives.Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, leasing companies, and service providers.Maintain strong communication with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure delivery performance and satisfaction.Resolve transportation-related issues and implement preventive measures.Evaluate and lead the implement transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and automation tools.Identify and drive process improvements through data and analytics.Other duties as assigned.Experience & Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.8-10+ years of progressive experience in transportation, and logisticsStrong knowledge of DOT regulations, freight logistics, and fleet operations, Canada and USProven leadership experience managing large teams and multimodal transportation networks.Proficient with TMS platforms and data analytics tools.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.There is a powerful transition underway in North America.
