Account Executive at 10 Percent Recruiting & BinaryLogic Position Title: Director, Corporate Finance Type: Contract About : Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting across North American and international entities. The position oversees key functions including Accounts Payable, General and Corporate Accounting, Internal Controls, and Finance Team Leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. What You Will Do: Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting for North American and international entities. Lead accounts payable operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls and vendor data integrity. Manage general ledger activities, including accruals, payroll, and prepaid expenses. Supervise capital asset and lease accounting in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. Prepare consolidated financial statements and coordinate external audits across jurisdictions. Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and related party transaction reporting. Monitor and implement changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with legal, tax, and IT teams to support entity setup and structural changes. Maintain and enhance internal controls documentation and compliance processes. Lead financial reporting submissions to executive leadership and parent organization. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the finance team. Ensure adequate staffing, cross-training, and succession planning within the department. What You Bring: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA or CA) designation with 8-10 years of post-designation experience. Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in a transactional finance environment. Experience managing accounting for multiple international legal entities. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proven success in process improvement and team development. Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365), Excel, and other Microsoft applications. Results-driven and deadline-oriented with strong attention to detail.
