Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Materials Manager to lead inventory control, production planning, and materials coordination in our fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring timely customer deliveries, efficient use of resources, and alignment with financial and operational goals. Perks: $110-120K 20% bonus benefit pension vacation Key Responsibilities: Coordinate manufacturing operations using capacity planning and Sales & Operation Planning tools to meet customer demand Lead inventory control activities including accuracy, cycle counts, and physical inventories Manage material planning, production scheduling, and packaging supply to support 100% on-time delivery Control SCOP functional costs (packaging, freight, storage, etc.) within budget Maintain accurate part and cost data in SAP and proprietary systems (e.g., PASS, COGNOS, NIAPS, FPACS) Communicate directly with customers regarding supply issues, delivery commitments, and order status Ensure compliance with ISO 14000 and TS16949 standards, supporting continuous improvement Participate in long-term planning and RFQ processes to support business growth Monitor nonconforming product, initiate corrective actions, and support quality system integrity Support team performance through strong communication, coaching, and human resource planning What You Bring: University degree in a related field 710 years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing (unionized environment is an asset) Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with systems such as SAP, PASS, COGNOS, and others Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Why Join Us?
