We are seeking a Senior Code Consultant with a strong background in building code consulting and fire safety engineering. Key Responsibilities : Technical Leadership : Lead projects and provide expertise in building code compliance and fire safety engineering practices. Business Development : Cultivate client relationships and identify opportunities for growth in fire engineering and building code compliance services. Project Management : Manage project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations. Alternative Solutions : Develop performance-based alternative solutions and facilitate their approval process. Team Leadership : Mentor and guide junior staff, contributing to their professional development and growth. Requirements for Success : Experience : Minimum 10 years in building code compliance and developing performance-based alternative solutions, ideally in a consulting environment. Education : Bachelors or Masters Degree in civil or mechanical engineering, architecture, or related fields; P.Eng. designation is preferred. Regulatory Knowledge : Deep understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Business Acumen : Strong ability to identify opportunities, build relationships with clients and authorities, and exercise sound judgment in project management. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at managing complex situations and resolving conflicts. Leadership Qualities : Proven track record in leading teams, managing projects, and achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
