Adult Infectious Diseases Specialist (Locum) Posting Date : March 19, 2025 Position profile Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases seek Adult Infectious Diseases Specialists to join their team on a locum term basis. The successful applicants will work in a multidisciplinary care environment. The Division of Infectious Diseases in Saskatoon consists of six clinicians who specialize in adult infectious diseases and provide service delivery at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital and St Pauls Hospital. Members are actively involved in the Saskatchewan Infectious Disease Care Network which provides HIV and HepC support to marginalized neighbourhoods in Saskatoon and northern communities in Saskatchewan. Members are also part of the Infection Prevention and Control team and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. Local service needs also include HIV, chronic viral hepatitis, TB and transplant ID. Compensation details Independent contract with a competitive weekly remuneration value for a 7-day week of adult ID service Benefits Responsibility of the physician Language of work - English Location of practice Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Qualifications / Requirements of the position Candidates are required to hold Royal College Certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Certification in Medical Microbiology or additional training in Infection Control would be an asset.
