You'll have the autonomy to build your client base and the support of a dedicated team committed to your success.YOUR NEXT CHALLENGEReporting to the Store Manager, the Millwork Product Expert (Sales) will develop and nurture strong relationships with custom mill shops, contractors, designers, and home builders to drive sales of high-value custom millwork, including but not limited to dressed lumber, custom siding and panelling, architectural elements, and specialized wood products. This position requires material product knowledge, effective communication skills, and knowing related items to sell an entire project. The successful candidate will provide fast, friendly service by actively responding to customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. The position will be based in the Ottawa store and will have short periods of outbound sales efforts.Candidates with active books of business will be given priority.Schedule: 5 shifts of 9 hours between Monday to SaturdayBase Wage:Base salary + BonusOther Compensation:Health benefits, paid sick days, paid vacationSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESProactively engage with and qualify potential clients, providing expert advice and solutions to secure high-value custom millwork projectsCollaborate closely with our in-house millwork and CNC teams to ensure seamless project execution from design to deliveryLeverage past experience using design software to ensure products are accurately specified and agreed to before production beginsManage existing accounts by providing excellent service and expert adviceProcess customer sales (quote, order, take payment, coordinate logistics)Answer the sales phone and email inquiries to respond to customer ordersActively seek product knowledge to develop expertiseStrategically identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking events, and on-site consultations to grow The WoodSource's market shareOther tasks as requiredWHAT YOU NEEDProfessional approach and presenceOutstanding attitude: have initiative, display excellent follow-up, have a positive outlook and be a pleasure to work with3-5 years of sales experience in custom millwork, with a demonstrated ability to achieve annual sales targets of at least $2.5mExcellent English communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to speak French is considered an assetPrevious experience working with CAD based software is considered an assetAbility to use Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and TeamsHigh school diploma essential; College diploma/university degree is considered an asset
