Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior National Accounts Manager to support their Pet Care business. Deliver business results through existing customer bases and new businesses. This position reports to the North America Sales Director.What you should expect:Drive results through multiple trade channels, including grocery, mass, club, pet specialty, drug, and dollar discounters. Customer base includes regional, national, or North American retailersUnderstand customer strategies and leverage functional team expertise to create new product innovation that delivers profitable resultsEstablish and develop strong, productive relationships with customers based on relative business importanceTrack monthly sales performance, identify variances vs. budget and develop and implement plans to address issues, consistent with sales strategyProvide accurate monthly forecast based on opportunities, information from customer base, industry data and economic trendsMonitor and communicate up-to-date information on retail pricing and any competitive actions and threatsParticipate in the development of annual customer plans that are consistent with overall business objectives and national selling strategyProcess customer deductions on a timely basisProvide a report of weekly activities and territory trends to the managerActively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem SolvingKey Accounts:Walmart, Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, Petvalu, CostcoWhat you should bring:10 years Successful CPG sales/sales management experience and accomplishmentsManagement experience required (i.e team leader/supervisor/broker manager)Dynamic understanding of the consumer-packaged goods marketplace within branded and private labelExpertise in dealing with customers at the merchant and director levelAble to work independently and within a team environmentProven track record to perform multiple tasks/projects simultaneouslyManage time effectively and efficiently, and meet established deadlinesOperate with a high level of integrity and display a cooperative demeanourAbility to project values and opinions in a constructive and non-confrontational styleAgility to adjust to customer and organizational needsStrong presentation and communication skillsAnalytical skills to problem solve and build a fact-based approach to build business casesProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to travel throughout Canada and the USPlease send resumes to
