Your designs will be built in-house by industry experts. Visit our website to view some of our work Purpose:Join us at WEMCO's Vancouver Sales & Service Branch as an Electrical Engineer, PE. In this role, you will utilize computer-aided software to review, modify, and design electrical systems while simultaneously validating and improving the performance of electromechanical equipment and components. You will work under the direction of the company Vice President, and will join a team of mechanical, structural, and control systems engineers that continue to grow our company and expand our capabilities.Job Responsibilities:Design and evaluate electromechanical systems by applying principles of mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other power systemsDevelop and review control systems by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, and soliciting observations from operatorsInteract with electrical engineers and staff members to identify, define, and resolve design or performance issues with productsCreate test procedures and provide technical assistance during equipment assembly and commissioningExecute technical assignments with the ability to integrate systems adhering to schedule and cost considerationsPerform root cause analysis for failure investigations and other data analysis tasksWrite periodic reports or presentations for customers on specific projectsConduct electrical progress work inspections on a continuous basis along with complete electrical installation checkout to ensure quality, codes, standards, and specifications are met before turnoverSupport technical coordination of lock-out/tag-out program activitiesCoordinate with Mechanical Engineers and craft workers to solve drawing issues or and provide information necessary for proper wiring or installation of electrical equipmentCoordinate and fulfill procurement as needed for electrical panel and system fabrication and assemblyProvide engineering information by answering questions and requests that are technical in natureMaintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulationsCreate and review O&M manuals for all designed equipmentProvide tracking and reporting to help plan, develop, and mentor project teams on the implementation of recovery plans as necessaryDevelop and maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal working relationships with othersCreate drawings for manufacturability using standard drafting practices within your assigned areaDiagnose problems, order appropriate parts, and design solutions to remedy project complicationsMust maintain a clean driving record since you may be asked to drive a company vehicle at timesBe willing to travel for short periods of time to manage project assignmentsBe willing to study and learn relevant industry standard requirements such asISO9001, AS9100, NCCCO, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, CMAA, AWS, IBC, ASCE, ASME,as well as any other related specifications needed to perform industry-accepted designs and equipmentJob Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineering license in Electrical Engineering3-5 years experience working in industrial automationStrong background in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsStrong AutoCAD skills, experience with Autodesk InventorStrong Programming SkillsMust be able to work autonomously without direct oversight when necessaryKnowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applicationsHas or can acquire a US Passport with no travel restrictionsBenefits:401KRetirement PlanMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceSupplemental insurance options through Colonial LifePaid Time OffHoliday PayEmployee Referral Program #J-18808-Ljbffr
