Procurement Specialist Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have relevant education and experience in supply chain management, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Analyze requisitions from user departments to ensure adequacy of tender/purchase descriptions and data related to specifications, pricing, delivery, inspection and special conditions. Assist in the development and evaluation of procurement specifications to ensure they are conducive to competitive tendering or procurement. Negotiate contracts with qualified vendors to ensure terms and conditions are consistent with organizational objectives. Maintain accurate records and reports on procurement activities. Qualifications: Relevant education in supply chain management or a related field. Minimum 2 years senior purchasing experience in high volume purchasing environment. Computer literacy and experience with computerized purchasing systems. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work within an integrated financial system and various software applications.
