In this role, you will be responsible for preparing monthly spending reports for senior management, analyzing variances, and leading the annual budget training for the budget leaders. ''> Responsibilities ''> ''> Prepare and consolidate spending reports for budget leaders and senior management; ''> Analyze and validate variance explanations, working closely with budget leaders to resolve any issues; ''> Lead the annual budget training for budget leaders and their assistants, focusing on the use of TM1 budget tool; ''> Support operational accounting for expense-related items, including expense allocations and finance support for business areas; ''> Oversee intercompany accounting and third-party invoicing; ''> Ensure compliance with current and changing accounting standards; ''> Lead and mentor the Expense Management team, creating a formal process for managing team members'' development plans; ''> Assist in preparing team members'' development plans and ongoing follow-up. ''> ''> Requirements ''> ''> A university degree in business or accounting; ''> A designated CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation recognized in Canada; ''> A minimum 5+ years of experience in budgeting and variance analysis, including leadership and staff management experience; ''> Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an asset; ''> Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year.
