NES Fircroft is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse worldwide client base within the oil & gas industry.Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: Near Humboldt, SaskatchewanLength: Ongoing (Full-Time Contract)Rotation: Monday to Thursday 10-hour days (overtime may be required occasionally)Description:Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support a range of site-based projects, from simple to complex, within the mining sector. This role requires strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to progress challenging projects effectively.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing the full project life cycle: planning, scheduling, scope and cost control, and budget oversightCoordinating between stakeholders including the client, site safety, training teams, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultantsDeveloping work packages and RFPs for procurementOverseeing contract management on behalf of the client and participating in construction meetingsMonitoring safety compliance for contractors and subcontractors, especially in underground environmentsMaintaining document control and working closely with support roles such as Project Coordinators and Cost ControllersCommunicating effectively across teams to ensure alignment, coordination, and successful execution of project goalsRequirements:Demonstrated project management experience in mining, construction, or industrial environmentsExceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organisational and coordination skills in a field-based settingMust provide a Drug and Alcohol clearance letter, valid GMSA certificate, and supply required PPEOnsite presence is mandatory; remote work is not an optionExperience in underground potash mining is preferredAn Underground Supervisory Certificate issued by the Saskatchewan Mines Branch is considered an assetCandidates must provide their own transportation to and from the site; local candidates are preferredThe client will provide underground site-specific training, onsite transportation, and office space as needed.Apply here or send your resume to trevor.parlee@nesfircroft.com
