Job Title: Implementation Specialist – Healthcare SystemsLocation: Burnaby, BCJob Type: Full-TimeOverview:We’re looking for an experienced Implementation Specialist to support enterprise-level healthcare system deployments, with a strong focus on EMR/EHR implementation, digital transformation, and revenue cycle optimization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in healthcare operations, project execution, and system integration who can bring both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to high-impact projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead the implementation of EMR/EHR platforms across healthcare facilities, ensuring seamless system integration, data migration, and user onboarding.Serve as the liaison between clinical stakeholders, IT, and vendor partners to gather requirements, manage timelines, and align deliverables with organizational goals.Oversee implementation of interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) to ensure compliant, real-time data exchange across providers and systems.Support Revenue Cycle Management initiatives, focusing on streamlining billing workflows, claims optimization, and A/R performance.Drive adoption of digital health tools such as patient portals, telehealth platforms, mobile check-ins, and virtual consultations.Collaborate on analytics and reporting frameworks using tools like Power BI, SQL, and other BI platforms to deliver actionable insights for population health and resource planning.Document workflows, change management strategies, and training materials for healthcare staff, aligning implementations with clinical operations and best practices.Support data governance, compliance (e.g., HIPAA), and privacy efforts during onboarding and rollout phases.Work with cross-functional teams to apply project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet) to track milestones and deliverables.Continuously assess post-go-live feedback and drive optimization through process refinement, training, and stakeholder feedback loops.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).2-5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, EMR/EHR implementation, or digital transformation projects.Proven track record leading cross-functional healthcare system implementations across multi-site organizations.Experience in RCM, billing optimization, and clinical workflow transformation.Technical Proficiency:Experience with CRM software to manage customer interactions.Familiarity with automation tools such as Airtable.Understanding of the software development process, including Agile methodology.Experience with gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders.Ability to support the integration of EMR systems within healthcare organizations.Skills & Attributes:Strong stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and communication skills.Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex requirements into executable roadmaps.Excellent problem-solving skills with a passion for improving patient outcomes through technology.Comfortable leading training and change management for clinical and non-clinical teams.Knowledge of privacy regulations, healthcare compliance standards, and industry best practices.Why Join Us?Join a mission-driven healthcare organization that’s reshaping the future of post-acute and outpatient care through technology and innovation.
