Job Title Vascular Surgeon Health Organizations Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Location Winnipeg, Manitoba Job Type Standard Application Job Description The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and the University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery, are inviting applications for a full-time Vascular Surgeon to address our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main duties include diagnosing and treating vascular diseases, ordering lab tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians, and engaging in medical research. These duties comprise approximately 85% of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor and as a full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. These additional duties account for about 15% of the position. All job duties are required to be performed in English. Qualifications The candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in vascular surgery, be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Compensation Compensation is based on fee-for-service income, ranging from $326,000 to $500,000 annually. Specialty physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.
