Job Description

We are currently seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager Warehouse Operations to support daily operations and team leadership in a fast-paced, food-grade warehouse environment. This role will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to drive performance, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and contribute to a positive and productive team culture. This role is located in Cambridge, ONT. Support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to processes2. Lead by example on the floorcoordinating team efforts, providing guidance, and resolving issues in real time3. Monitor and help drive KPIs related to productivity, accuracy, and safety4. Assist with inventory management, shipping/receiving processes, and use of RF scanners and EDI systems5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including BRCGS standards6. Communicate directly with customers via email and phone in a professional and timely manner7. Maintain proper documentation and reporting as required8. Help onboard and train new warehouse staff9. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment________________________________________Assistant Manager Warehouse Operations Qualifications: 1. 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment (food-grade experience a strong asset)2. Forklift certified3. Strong verbal and written English communication skills4. Experience using RF scanners and a basic understanding of EDI systems5. Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)6. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred7. Knowledge of food safety standards and BRCGS compliance
