Job Description

DAP Canada is looking for an Office & HR Administrator to oversee the day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the business, such as finance support, payroll & benefits, mail, and customer communications. This role reports to the HR Director; dotted line to General Manager andis based at DAP Canadas office/warehouse facility in Scarborough until the business relocates to Concord, Ontario in January 2026.Responsibilities:Finance supportAssist Finance department with the processing of defectives, shortages, overages, pricing issues, etc.Process Canadian check requests, mail checks and match incoming checks with invoicesSupport Customer inquiriesProvide customers with invoice copies, PODs, packing slips as neededAnswer main office phone lineGenerate monthly sales reports for Buying Group customers as needed Supplier ProcessingCode supplier invoices to appropriate cost centersSet up new suppliersAssist with credit applicationsTrack vacation accruals for the DAP Canada associatesMaintain and pull employee records Order office supplies and maintain inventoryRepresentative for Global DAP Ambassador Pgm a company-wide events and culture teamHR AdministrationProcess payroll semi-monthlyManage payroll deductionsRRSP reportingStock Purchase Program reportingEmployee Health Tax reporting at year-endWSIB monthly and year-end reportMonthly benefits reportingGeneral HR functionsAssist with recruitment; schedule interviews, initiate reference checks, etc.Serve as Company policy administrator, address inquiries regarding the policyPlan and coordinate employee activities, including service award and other celebrationsSite lead for the employee engagement surveyConduct new hire orientation; enter new hire data in Oracle.Create employment offer lettersOther administrative tasks as required and assigned.Requirements:Minimum college degree or equivalent work experience.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; including some payroll experienceStrong computer skills, including SAP and Oracle and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointOrganized with good time management skillsPersonable, good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others at all levels.Basic accounting skills would be an assetAbout DAPDAP is a market leading manufacturer, innovator and marketer of home repair and construction products including caulks, sealants, spray foam insulation, adhesives, and patch and repair products.
