Legacy is part of Highland Ventures, a family-owned real estate conglomerate. Legacy owns and operates a portfolio of 650+ properties across 22 states. Legacy operates in the multi-tenant retail and office asset classes, with an internal team that includes property management, leasing, construction, and acquisitions & development. The Companys growth is focused on build-to-suit NNN development, leasing existing retail space, and retail strip center acquisitions and development.Role SummaryThe Director of Commercial Leasing will manage the commercial retail leasing team as well as procure tenants to lease space in Highland Ventures owned portfolio of over 700 properties. The individual should have experience managing a team as well as be comfortable and confident in communicating with, and negotiating with, small, mid-size, and large retailers.Legacy is seeking a highly driven individual with outstanding organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage tenant relationships at a high level. This candidate must have the ability to manage and motivate a team of leasing agents in order to ensure the company is successful in leasing LCPs vacant real estate.Job duties includeManage team of 5 internal leasing agents as well as a team of ~12 field leasing agents to drive rents and deal volumeManage one leasing administratorAssist leasing team in negotiations of all primary lease termsCanvas possible tenants to lease space within a growing portfolio of Highland Ventures-owned properties.Manage the leasing of all new retail acquisitions and all new developmentsDrive national tenant leasing through own relationships and relationships of leasing agentsLooking for, and implementing, process improvement opportunities to enhance leasing outcomesOpportunities and BenefitsGroup medical, dental, life and other insurance plans, after eligibility requirements are fulfilledFlex Medical and Flex Daycare spending accounts (FSA)401K with 50% matchPaid time off plus 7 paid holidaysRequired education and experienceBachelors degree from 4-year college or university, preferred5+ years of real estate experience required3+ years of leasing / sales team management experience requiredFamiliarity with CoStar, CRM platforms, and / or other related softwareComprehensive knowledge of lease review and renewal proceduresNational retail tenant relationships, preferredPosition type and expected hours of workThis is a full-time, on-site position.
