Job Description

Requirements At least 5 years of experience in budgeting, financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping. At least 3 years in project management, human resources, or team leadership. Experience with non-profit organizations is strongly valued, especially in finances, funding, administration, and planning. Strong assets include familiarity with environmental fields (science, conservation, engineering) and relevant post-secondary education. CPA designation is an asset. Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Refugee status. Elk Valley resident and local knowledge preferred. Some on-job training available for the right candidate. Duties Reporting to the Executive Director, this role oversees finances, operations, human resources, grants, and compliance to ensure ERAs financial and organizational health. The role manages day-to-day operations including financial performance, resourcing, and HR. Financial duties include budgets, planning, reports, controls, and bookkeeping. The successful candidate must uphold ERAs public reputation, represent its positions within the community, maintain strong partner relationships, and ensure a safe, equitable, and collaborative workplace.
