Our client, an infrastrutcure contractor has an opening for a Superintendent to join their civil & infrastructure team in Toronto, ON, Vancouver BC or Edmonton AB. Competitive salary: $140k $200k depending on experience. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.The Role of Superintendent:Leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the projectApply the requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on the projectUse your proactive approach to determine project materials are supplied and in compliance with our first-class Quality ProgramEstablish and identify on-site manpower requirementsTake a hands-on approach to leading, mentoring and walking with our team on site to support the project teamCollaborate with our trade partners and consultantsDevelop and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team ensuring that completion dates and milestones are metSuperintendent will put problem-solving skills to work and recommend innovative methods that will increase effectiveness and efficiency to ensure project excellence and productivityCollaborate with the Project Manager for all construction site start-up details including the scheduleBe a role model during coordination meeting with our clients and associated representativesStay on top of workforce training for the site team and ensure all training is up to dateActively receive delivered materials on site according to policyEnsure that the project is built according to the approved plan, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that all content is currentBe a keeper of construction site inventory and work with our Logistics team to ensure accuracyKeep construction site documentation organizedCelebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.Experience and Requirements:Superintendent will have 10+ years experience in structures, civil and infrastructure construction industryExperience in the construction of stations is required.A construction related certificate, diploma or degreeA proven track record of project success and team collaborationStrong knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, quality and cost controlThe ability to quickly identify problematic situations, identify possible causes, produce effective solutions and collaboratively lead a large team to successful completionA passion to develop, maintain and execute the project scheduleGood computer skills and previous experience with scheduling softwareKnowledge of the market.Ideal Candidate:Only candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be considered.Please clearly highlight relevant work experience, project overviews and project scale ($) in your resume.Great benefits package, 4 weeks vacation, monthly public transit pass, fitness membership, training opportunities, summer hours and more #J-18808-Ljbffr
