Volunteer Advisor for Gender Equality The role of the volunteer advisor will be to support the Centro de Estudios Marinos (CEM) in creating community and institutional gender policies. About the Role: This placement is an opportunity to work with a Honduran, non-governmental organization dedicated to applied science on coastal-marine ecosystems. The CEM has grown and expanded its study area along the Honduran Atlantic and Pacific coasts, working under regional approaches with the Mesoamerican Reef System and the Gulf of Fonseca. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and review the Draft Institutional Diagnosis. Analyze and revise the Draft Institutional Policy of Gender and the Institutional Strategic Plan to align normative instruments. Develop a Training Plan aimed at the communities and staff of the organization. Requirements: The volunteer should have a university degree in social sciences, economics, international development, or equivalent experience in a related field. Additionally, they should have knowledge/experience on gender equality, planning, administration processes, strategy design, research, teaching, training, facilitation, participatory approaches, and multicultural team collaboration.
