Our CASL Surface Technologies division is a corrosion and wear solutions provider with over 25 years of experience, and we are looking to add to our growing team at our Nisku Facility.The Opportunity:The Grinder works with the coatings team and utilizes a variety of grinding machines to prep and finish components to required customer and internal specifications.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprintsDetermine product specifications and calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instrumentsMeasuring, examining, and testing completed units to ensure the requirements are met by using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, and preset gauges)Remove carbide, chrome, and steel using appropriate abrasive and/or rough and finish grind to tight tolerances (up to 0.0005”)Determine and monitor the feed and speed of machines as well as abrasive selection for honingObserve operating machines and equipment to prevent, and if needed, diagnose machine malfunctions requiring maintenance adjustments, or repairLift or hoist work piecesOuter Diameter and Inner Diameter grindingMaintain a clean and safe work areaJob RequirementsPrevious experience in grinding and/or machining considered an assetApplicants with technical training preferredWorking knowledge of manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and precision measuring toolsAble to lift 50 lbs
