Main Responsibilities Schedule Management: Plan and coordinate the weekly schedules for flagging teams, ensuring timely and efficient resource allocation. Support to Flagging Supervisor: Provide daily assistance to the Flagging Supervisor by handling tasks such as scheduling changes, overtime calls, time entry and expense account checks using SAP, managing occupational injuries and accidents, and conducting investigations as needed. Vehicle Fleet Management: Oversee vehicle fleet maintenance, allocate resources efficiently, and plan for necessary repairs or replacements. Material Inventory and Distribution: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and distribution, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste. Employee Support and Development: Coach employees on protection procedures, provide training on compliance with guidelines, and support their growth within the organization. Communication and Reporting: Establish regular communication channels with the team, including weekly safety calls and quarterly in-person safety days to discuss concerns, new processes, and company policies. Requirements This role requires a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in railway operation, a valid drivers license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. A strong background in labor relations, discipline, and conflict resolution is essential. Additionally, advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office, are necessary for effective communication and record-keeping. Work Environment This position involves working in a combination of office and outdoor environments, with varying weather conditions and shift work.
