Proficient operating knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred. Excellent communication skills are required. Flexibility to deal with changing priorities, and the ability to systematically and reliably respond to critical situations is a must. The incumbent is responsible for directing and supervising Junior and Intermediate Designers within their team.Responsibilities & QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities :Provide technical assistance to the Team Leader/Project Manager as follows:Set up and maintain design filePerform Cable calculationsPerform Lighting modellingLV, HV, control and lighting schematic design layout and final design with minimal supervisionEnsure Introba design checklist is being followedEnsure Introba AutoCAD Standards are being followedFinal motor list review or preparationPrepare or confirm all equipment selections using Introba selection proceduresCoordinate electrical and mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team (i.e. Architects, Structural Consultants, Code Consultants, Geotechnical Consultants, etc.)Co-ordinate or confirm service requirements/connections with the respective utility and/or municipal agenciesAttend project progress meetings, provide updates for Project Manager and/or PIC (including field reviews to monitor project construction status)Attend field reviews/meetings with clientsReview/supervise drafting, prepare/review markupsAssist with fee proposal preparationMaintain client relationsSkills and Qualifications :Minimum 2 years AutoCAD experience coupled with 5+ years design experience in LV, HV, control and lighting systems.Revit experience is an assetAbility to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervisionAbility to apply prescriptive requirements of electrical building services engineering codes.Ability to perform accurate detailed site surveysExcellent verbal and written communication skills both inside and outside the officeProficiency in coaching/teachingAble to sketch ideasAble to communicate ideas effectively in meetings with architects and consultantsProfessional Engineer (PEng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or EIT designations are highly preferredLEED Accredited Professional designation is an assetAdditional Information#LI-HybridIntroba is committed to pay equity.
