We are flexible with scheduling, but there is scope and patient volume for an OD to be busy 5 days per week split between the 2 clinics. Trail and Castlegar are a 25-minute drive apart. Alternatively, you could choose to practice 3 or 4 days per week, allowing for excellent work-life balance and the ability to take advantage of the region's fantastic outdoor activities. These clinics have been serving these communities for over 30 years, presenting a fantastic opportunity for the incoming OD to walk into a full book of patients. Our ODs are well supported by a talented and experienced team, which provides pretesting support and manages the dispensary and patient fittings. Our doctors are currently seeing 15-20 patients per day, with the vast majority being full exams.
