Position Summary: Leads and manages the Cost for Price process in collaboration with key stakeholders on the Merchandising & Marketing Service Center (MMSC) Team, Sales, and Revenue Management with the goal of executing strategies for achieving optimized pricing, Brand Cost Indexing (BCI) being a core focus.. Provides in-depth analysis, reporting, and recommendations regarding the execution of product matching, pricing rule development, as well as rule validation and ongoing compliance. Responsible for end-to-end process optimization and overseeing the automation of process tasks. Location: The successful candidate should be able to commute to the Milton, Ajax, or Amherst DC at least 4 days a week. Essential Functions: Communication & Relationship Building Communicates key KPIs and Reporting . Maintains regular contact with key stakeholders to understand shifting cost and pricing strategies,iIndexing rule changes, as well as communicating progress on specific activity and concerns. Collaborates with key stakeholders to Implement approved cost, cost for price, and pricing changes. Identifies new Gordon Food Service private branded products for entry into the BCI process . Implements approved products, matches, and indexing rules. Collaborates with key stakeholders to make approved cost, cost for price, and pricing changes using required forms and including appropriate detail and timing. Creates and manages standardized reporting to support cost for price competitiveness. Utilizes tolerance-based reporting to identify actionable items. Develops a strategy for Following - Leading item price change synchronization. Improves ranges/rules for items using Cost data and syndicated benchmarks so that our brands can be much more aligned with and responsive to local market changes. Business Analytics Collects, analyzes, summarizes, and presents KPIs and financial performance data to improve and optimize margin performance. Responsible for acquisition, accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of BCI Leading and Following Item core product data information. Collaborates with technical experts to develop and maintain process and reporting automation. Performs other duties as assigned.
