ROLE SUMMARY : The Heritage College Nursing Program provides a part-time, three-year RN competency-based diploma program. Given that nursing is a practice-based profession, we believe that clinical experience is a vital and integral component of the curriculum, providing students with hands-on opportunities to practice their nursing skills under direct supervision of their clinical instructor. The clinical instructor supports student learning, liaises with assigned nurses in a clinical unit and collaborates with the Faculty Team Leader. The clinical instructor role is an essential and powerful component of nursing education. DUTIES : MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : Minimum of a Bachelor''s degree in Nursing, and several years of teaching experience at the university or college level is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of Mental Health Nursing Experience. Fluency in English , both oral and written is required. Knowledge of software as per program requirements is necessary. Must be a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario. Hold an OIIQ (Ordre des infirmiers et infirmires du Qubec) license for all Quebec placements.
