Candidates must reside in one of the following five provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario, or Quebec.Job Summary/ObjectiveEnables Product teams to do their best work by ensuring they have the right data to make the best decisions, and the right tools and techniques to work smartly, while ensuring the way we work is intentionally designed to remove waste and unlock the potential of teams. Identifies opportunities, and tests and iterates into solutions that drive broader Product Operations outcomes.Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)Owns the outcomes and tactics within two portfolios: 1) Standards & Practices and 2) Toolset. Works with other members of the Product Operations team to think holistically about the entire function.Builds, refines, and advocates for the assigned portfolios roadmap to achieve broader Product Operations outcomes.Onboards and enables teams to tools / methodologies formally adopted as part of the organizations Product Practice.Researches, refines, tests and drives the adoption of new tools, techniques, methodologies, etc.Assumes ad hoc ownership of high-priority initiatives within the Product Operations team.Architects and oversees the Product Onboarding program.Leads and organizes community events within Product.Helps leadership with directing, inspecting, and coaching the work of more junior team members.EducationA bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Business Operations or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.Experience, Skills and Key CompetenciesAt least 3 years of experience working closely with (or within) a product team in a role such as Product Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Product Designer, Agile/Product Coach/Trainer, etc., along with a work background that demonstrates a basic understanding of how modern triad-based teams work to deliver simple, lovable, complete solutions to customers, and proven success making data-driven recommendations.Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:Growth mindset vs. a fixed mindset.Can effectively organize and manage day-to-day work and priorities, and use time, energy and resources to meet goals, deadlines, and deliverables.Strong communication and listening skills, and skilled at effectively determining tradeoffs and options.Ability to know when and how qualitative vs. quantitative data is needed.Can maintain a point of view of what a modern product practice looks like.Strong research skills and able to conduct primary discovery with customers served, translating data into insights.Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.Able to effectively work and thrive in a remote/hybrid work environment that has limited opportunities for in-person interactions.
