Join Advanced Cyclotron Systems Inc. as our next Mechanical Designer and be part of something extraordinary!What You'll Do:Design products, mechanical and electromechanical systems and components to improve cyclotron safety, effectiveness, manufacturability and cost efficiency.Ensure manufactured products meet design specifications by working closely with operations, production, and engineering teamsManage the prototype phase and make the necessary changes in design or drawingsEvaluate the required documentation before releasing parts and assemblies to productionPlan and coordinate activities involved in fabrication and operation of products and systems, including fabrication with outside suppliersParticipate in hands-on problem-solving during fabrication, assembly, and installation of componentsEvaluate field installations and recommend design modifications and improvements to eliminate machine or system malfunctionsMaintain knowledge of relevant regulatory agencies, and the policies, codes, standards, and regulations that are applicable to ACSIs products.SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONDegree in Engineering or Technology discipline or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Fully competent with 3D CAD design and 2D drafting, preferably with Autodesk InventorExperience with Autodesk Vault or other PDM system would be considered an assetFamiliar with 3D printingExperience with FEA is considered an assetKnowledge of GD&T is considered an assetExperience with pneumatics and wiring layouts is considered and assetExcellent attention to detail and ability to work alone and under limited supervision, while being team orientated.Ability to lead, influence, and drive results in activities involving cross-functional teams and departments.Forward-thinking, proactive, and continual improvement mindset.Eligibility for registering with EGBC is an asset.
