Construction Site Superintendent ICIASCO Construction is on the lookout for a driven, experienced Site Superintendent to lead the charge on complex, unique, challenging ICI projects.ASCOs Senior Site Superintendent provides and is accountable for the necessary planning, control, direction, and coordination of subcontractors and ASCOs own workforce on site. He/she provides day-to-day leadership in managing the construction site, and executing field operations safely and consistently, within time and budgetary constraints, in order to meet the objectives of continued and sustainable growth of the Company.Some of the Senior Site Superintendent responsibilities include:Overseeing field operations with a sharp eye for safety, quality, and efficiencyCoordinating trades, subcontractors, and materials to keep projects moving smoothlyEnsuring compliance with design plans, specs, codes, and environmental standardsCollaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and clientsProviding safety leadership on sitePlanning, scheduling, and controlling daily construction activities on siteEnsuring sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, schedule, and quality objectivesCollaborating with and fostering positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.Candidates should:Have at least ten (10) years experience in Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial construction.Journeyman trade experience background is essential and preferredHold a professional engineering or college degree in construction related program, in Building Sciences; Gold Seal Certification is an assetHave demonstrated experience with a general contracting companySubstantial experience in concrete works, earthworks, mechanical, electrical and building automation systems construction is preferred.Have direct site supervision of large Institutional, Commercial, Industrial construction projects valued between $10million and $250 millionDemonstrate superior leadership, motivational, and mentoring skillsHave strong supervision, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsHave excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)Be service and results-orientedBe able to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedulesBe eligible for security clearances and possess a valid drivers licenseHave superior working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Employment BenefitsCompetitive employee compensationCompany vehicleHealth, Dental, and Disability benefits programEmployee Family Assistance ProgramMatching RRSP programProfit sharingPerformance and merit-based recognitionOn the job trainingEducation reimbursement programProfessional and career development opportunitiesASCO is an Inclusive and Equal Opportunity Employer, and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
