Job Description Elevate Your Career as a Field Operations Engineer. This role involves supporting field-level process engineering within the Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil sector. The ideal candidate will apply their engineering expertise to optimize facility performance and drive business value in a full-time contract position located in Lloydminster, SK. Key Responsibilities Provide field-level process engineering support to Operations and other stakeholders. Analyze and troubleshoot operational process/equipment issues, recommending solutions. Verify process changes and validate process functions through simulations and engineering calculations. Identify facility bottlenecks and OPEX reduction opportunities, scoping and framing resolutions. Support safety, environmental, and integrity concerns, scoping and framing resolutions. Complete or support work intake for process engineering investigations and MOC requests. Conduct process release calculations for safety event incident investigations. Represent process engineering in operational risk assessments and related evaluations. Define, implement, monitor, and sustain facility Safe Operating Limits. Identify and manage facility constraints to support integrated production planning. Quantify outage production impacts and support operational risk assessments during facility outages. Monitor facility process and equipment performance to enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of upstream processes and equipment, proficient in engineering principles with strong analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. Requirements Registered with APEGS as a P. Eng. Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent program focusing on process engineering courses. 4+ years of industry experience in an operational or process engineering role is preferred. Experience in process engineering design is an asset. Proficient with process simulation tools (HYSYS, Unisim).
