The successful candidate will play a crucial role in BioScripts overarching IT management. You will be responsible for a broad range of functions ranging from strategic planning and evolution of the IT department to ensuring that various IT Operations sub-teams are delivering reliable and responsive day-to-day operations.The Director of IT Operations and Service Delivery will plan design and direct all operational activities of the IT Operations department as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Director of IT Operations and Service Delivery will work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify recommend develop implement and support cost-optimized technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.Your scope will include but not be limited to managing internal and vendors teams responsible for :Delivering on operational and process projects to prove IT services and functionsOn-premise and cloud infrastructureBusiness continuity and disaster recoveryNetworking & telecommunications and data storageThe service desk for business applications support including SaaS and end-user computingOperational service and financial performance metricsIncreasing the maturity of ITIL processes using best practicesHow you will make an impactStrategic PlanningCollaborate with VP of Innovation and Acceleration to formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-optimized solutionsGuide business and IT leaders in making investment decisions that balance and prioritize current operational demands disruptions and opportunities with the longer-term strategic visionProvide technology guidance road maps principles standards and best practices to operational and project teamsDevelop and implement all IT policies and proceduresDirect research on potential new and innovative technology solutions and implementationsRegularly conduct strategic capacity planning exercisesTechnology Operations ManagementReview the performance of IT systems to determine operating costs productivity levels service levels and upgrade requirements.Benchmark analyze report on and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.Authorize and oversee the deployment monitoring maintenance development and support of all on-premise and cloud hardware and software based on departmental needs.Oversee and provision end-user services including help desk and technical support services.Where necessary re-engineer infrastructure to better align with business processes tactical planning and strategic vision.Improving the maturity of ITIL capabilities such as incident management change management release management configuration management service catalog and asset managementManage IT Infrastructure ProjectsManage IT staffing including recruitment supervision scheduling development evaluation and disciplinary actions.Define and communicate project milestones service level agreements and resource allocation to the executive team department leads support staff and end users.Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organizations senior leaders department heads and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.Develop and review budgets and ensure they comply with stated goals guidelines and objectives.Develop business case justifications and cost / benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades review submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements and makes the appropriate award.Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements.What youll bring to our teamA minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a bachelors degree. A degree in computer science information systems or business administration with technology as a core component are preferred.Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development project management and / or policy development.A good understanding and technical knowledge of both on-premise and cloud technologies networking telecommunication storage and end-user computingExperience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to implementation and day-to-day management.Demonstrated experience developing business processes managing staff budgeting and / or overseeing operations.Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.Highly self-motivated self-directed and attentive to detail.Extensive experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment.Ability to supervise several managers within IT.With one tree planted for every new hire why not start your new job on a green foot and help us lower our carbon footprint.Job Status : Full Time PermanentOur commitment to our team our patients and our communityBioScript Solutions supports public health guidelines and recommendations regarding COVID-19 vaccines.
