This role is critical to ensuring software quality across platforms by developing and executing robust automated tests and collaborating across development and QA teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of test design, data-driven testing, and agile QA best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define detailed test strategies and test plans.Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework.Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.Perform SQL queries to prepare, validate, and analyze test data.Create and maintain Unix / Linux shell scripts for test automation tasks.Identify, document, and track bugs using version control and issue-tracking tools.Perform manual testing as needed to ensure complete coverage.Generate test reports and metrics to track test execution and quality trends.Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to test strategy improvements.Stay current on QA automation trends and continuously optimize test processes.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or Quality EngineerStrong coding and scripting skills in PythonProficiency with Robot Framework or other similar automation toolsHands-on experience in SQL for data validation and test setupProficient in Unix / Linux environments and shell scriptingStrong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practicesFamiliar with Git and version control systemsExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsSkills SummaryCore Expertise :Test automation, quality assurance, functional and regression testing, agile QA practicesLanguages & FrameworksPython, Robot Framework, Shell scriptingDatabase & MessagingSQL, relational databasesOptional if known or applicable based on candidate)DevOps & CI / CDOther Tools & TechnologiesUnix / Linux, manual testing, bug tracking systemsSoft SkillsAnalytical thinking, mentorship, clear communication, cross-team collaboration, proactive testing mindsetThe pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $29.59 / hour - $46.23 / hour.
