B.C.Full-Time ContractJune 2025 - November 2025Basic Purpose:Reporting to the Senior Manager, laboratory Operations and under the supervision of the XRF technical supervisor, the XRF Technician position performs routine and non-routine duties in the XRF Lab including preparing XRF samples for analysis. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccurately conduct routine and non-routine analyses of samples using the appropriate method and in accordance with the established schedule such as high temperature Lithium tetraborate fusion and LOI. Weigh XRF samples according to established procedures. Perform sample preparation consisting of high temperature Lithium tetraborate fusion. Provide technical support to senior technicians and may assist in training new employees. Report all breakdowns or other equipment problems to the supervisor or manager. Perform routine washing and other cleanup duties as required. Operate required instruments such as XRF and its associated computers. Suggest modifications to routine analytical procedures to improve accuracy.
