This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and team-centred legal department, providing crucial support in labour law matters. Based in Mississauga, this full-time role offers the chance to work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive legal team, contributing significantly to cross-functional initiatives through the provision of legal and business advice.What you'll do:Union Relations and Grievance Management: Act as the liaison with unions, handle employee grievances, and mediate conflicts.Certification and Bargaining Units: Manage union certification applications and define bargaining units.Collective Bargaining: Lead negotiations, draft agreements, and ensure compliance with labor laws.Training and Compliance: Conduct training on labor relations, ensure legal compliance, and update policies.Dispute Resolution and Advisory: Participate in dispute resolution processes and advise management on labor issues.What you bring:Minimum 8 years of labour law experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal departmentMembership in good standing with the Ontario Law SocietyExcellent drafting and negotiation skillsAbility to prioritize competing demands effectivelyStrong business acumen and interpersonal skillsWhat's next:Ready for an exciting new challenge?
