Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeCA$120,000.00 / yr - CA$170,000.00 / yrAt Eckler, we know its our people that make us great at what we do.Our growing investment practice is looking for a talented, hardworking consultant to be based in our Vancouver or Alberta office, serving Ecklers clients primarily in Western Canada, but also across the country.To fulfill this role, we are looking for a Senior Candidate who will provide advice to fiduciaries of defined benefit, target benefit and defined contribution pension funds, endowments / foundations, First Nation Trusts, corporations and other institutional asset pools to make the best risk adjusted return decisions considering the liabilities and spending commitments that these assets support.Roles and Responsibilities :Provide investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients such as policy formation, strategic asset allocation, and portfolio designWork with Ecklers Modelling and Risk Management team to complete Asset Liability StudiesManage all aspects of assigned consulting relationshipsParticipate in Ecklers ongoing investment strategy and investment manager researchIndustry participation, including attending industry events and conferences as well as contributing to the industry through speaking engagements and written materialsBusiness development by drafting, reviewing and responding to RFPs; building Ecklers brand through promotion of thought leadership; sourcing new opportunities through industry participation and contactsWhat we offer :Collaborative and engaging atmosphereVariety in work and ability to evolve and grow your careerWorking with colleagues across Canada and across multiple practice areasOpportunities to help build and evolve our practiceCompetitive total rewards package in terms of salary, bonus and benefits (commensurate with experience level)An entrepreneurial, collegial work environmentHybrid work style and dress for your day approachWhat you offer :Comfortable presenting to Boards and senior leadersExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to develop strong working relationships with both internal and external clientsStrong project management skills combined with an ability and willingness to meet tight deadlinesStrong investment analytical abilitiesPassion for investing10+ years of investment industry related experience, preferably at a consulting firmFamiliarity with the challenges faced by defined benefit, target benefit and defined contribution pension fundsAssetsUndergraduate degree with finance, investment or a math focusCompletion of the CFA program or similar preferredExperience or qualifications in financial risk management or actuarial scienceWho we are :Eckler is Canadas largest independent actuarial consulting firm.
