Equilibrium Mining is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team.This is a strategic role within the business to provide technical leadership to the team. Join us at Equilibrium.Responsibilities Overview:Act as a key member of Equilibriums technical leadership team, providing direct input into company strategy.Lead complex projects and manage teams of consultants.Provide rock mechanics guidance to clients, including innovative solutions for open pit and/or underground stability.Technical oversight of engineering analysis and numerical modeling to support geotechnical design.Mentor team members and support their professional development.Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholdersAct as a technical ambassador to the company at industry events.Actively engage in business developmentPrepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals.Background Requirements:Bachelor's degree in geological, geotechnical, or mining engineering. A Master's degree in a relevant field is an asset.15+ years of experience in the mining industry, with a focus on rock mechanics.Strong analytical skillsExperience leading geotechnical design studies for open pit and/or underground mining projectsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead complex projects and manage teams.Strong leadership skills and business acumenCommitment to inclusion, diversity and health and safety.At Equilibrium Mining, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
