Project Management Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing capital projects and initiatives, working closely with the Director to define organizational requirements for new and expanded facilities. About the Role: The Construction Project Manager will engage with schools and departments to develop general project requirements and provide estimates of anticipated construction costs. They will work with the purchasing department to prepare and issue tender packages to procure design services. Key responsibilities include acting as primary contact with consultants, developing and issuing tenders for construction services, applying for development/building permits, and monitoring project budget and schedule. The successful candidate will also read, interpret and understand project construction drawings and specifications, and facilitate site progress and coordination meetings. Qualifications and Skills: A post-secondary degree or diploma in a construction-related discipline is required, along with 5+ years of practical experience in project management. The ideal candidate will have superior written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience using construction industry software. Strong personal organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, willing to learn and adapt, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
