A day in the life of the Privacy & Security Specialist includes: Helping shape and drive FlexPays privacy and security programs alongside engineering, operations, and leadership. Collaborating with teams to develop policies, standards, and processes that protect our data, platform, and customers. Coordinating audits (PCI, SOC), assessments, and risk management activities. Supporting incident response activities, from detection to post-incident learning. Evaluating new tools, technologies, and vendors to strengthen our security posture. Partnering across the company to make security everyones business. What You Bring A passion for privacy, security, and emerging regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, CPPA, etc.) A growth mindset - youre more excited about what you can learn next than what youve done before. Collaborative approach and strong communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences alike). Some exposure to security frameworks, risk assessments, or compliance work. Professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, CIPP, etc.) and PCI-DSS experience are nice-to-haves, not must-haves. A mindset of curiosity towards AI, a demonstrated willingness to experiment with it, and an ability to think strategically about how AI can amplify your work.
