The Job Mission As Project Director, you will play a key strategic and technical leadership role in launching and delivering nuclear projects across Canada. Youll work directly with the Canadian set up team and global stakeholders to define technical standards, shape project delivery, and influence the strategic growth of the business. This is a rare opportunity to combine high-level engineering expertise with commercial and operational leadership. Key Responsibilities: Lead technical delivery and assurance for new nuclear projects across Ontario and Canada Implement Assystem group engineering standards, procedures, and delivery models, with adaptation if required for Canadian operations Provide technical oversight on bids, proposals, and project execution strategies Interface with key clients, industry stakeholders, and regulators to establish strong partnerships Collaborate with international Assystem teams to adapt global best practices for the Canadian context Support recruitment, mentoring, and development of the Canadian technical team Represent Assystem in technical forums, industry events, and stakeholder meetings Contribute to commercial strategies and ensure technically sound, cost-effective solutions are delivered Support operational start-up activities such as licensing, systems integration, and quality frameworks Essential Skills & Qualifications Certified Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered in Ontario (or eligible for registration) Proven experience in the management and delivery of large, complex, multidisciplinary projects, ideally with strong emphasis on nuclear projects. Excellent understanding of Canadian nuclear regulations, safety standards, and permitting pathways Demonstrated experience delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure or energy projects Strategic mindset with the ability to influence technical and commercial decisions Comfortable working in a fast-moving, start-up-like environment within a global organisation Experience building and leading multi-disciplinary teams Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable Skills Knowledge of SMR (Small Modular Reactor) programmes or advanced reactor technologies French language skills (bilingualism is a plus but not required) Familiarity with global nuclear licensing regimes (UK, EU, or UAE experience welcome) Previous experience working with a start-up or establishing a new business unit Why Apply?
