When we say were ALL IN, we mean were all in on you and your career.Join us at Inland Truck & Equipment and go ALL IN on a career that has it all.THE OPPORTUNITY The Service Manager is a part of the dealership leadership team and will be responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives and maintenance of all service records. This position also ensures that the daily inventory of technicians time is consistently sold to service customers.**This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Williams Lake, BC.PAY RANGEThe salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000, based on experienceCANADA BENEFITS PACKAGEOur employees receive a generous benefits package including:Extended Medical (including Vision)DentalPrescription benefitsRRSP with employer matching programLong Term and Short-Term DisabilityLife Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment InsurancePaid Time OffBonus opportunitiesAnnual boot allowanceYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral businessMonitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveysPrepares and administers an annual operating budget for the service department.Maintains open communications and good relationships with other department personnel - Parts, Body Shop, Sales, Administration, and Credit. Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.Maintains reporting systems required by general managementReviews and initials all repair orders before submitting them to the warranty department, monitoring for sales and hours relative to expectationsMaintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and qualityEnsures that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.Establishes and maintains 24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experience and handles any customer issues promptlyEnsures the safety of all employees by:Maintains the companys service vehicles by ensuring that the vehicles are in good, safe running orderSupervisory Responsibilities:Supervises the Service Advisors, and Equipment and Truck TechniciansHiring, training, motivating and monitoring the performance of all service department staffEnsuring every employee has a thorough understanding of his or her duties and responsibilities;Monitoring service department employees' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.WHAT WE LOOK FOR Post-secondary diploma or trades certification in a related field preferredHeavy duty truck/equipment technical knowledgeThree years related experience in branch management of commercial truck or heavy-duty equipment repair environmentStrong leadership skillsExcellent customer relations skillsFinancial literacy, ability to read and understand financial and performance metrics reports, and maintain budgetsStrong business ethics with a professional approach at all timesFunctions well with large volume and fast-paced work environmentValid Drivers LicenseAre you ready to go ALL IN on a career at Inland?
